Bus service is available to and from the airport Monday through Friday from the Des Moines Metro Transit Authority (MTA).

Directions:
From the North, take I-35 south to Interstate 80 and proceed east on Interstate 80 approximately 3 miles to Highway 65. Proceed south and west on 65 approximately 15 miles, then continue west on Highway 5 for another 3 miles to the Fleur Drive exit. Proceed north on Fleur Drive approximately 2 miles. The entrance to the airport is on the left.

From the South, follow I-35 northbound to Hwy 5, Army Post Road (DSM International Airport). (Construction has rerouted Hwy 5 near the airport, follow the signs.) Take Hwy 5, Army Post Road 5 miles east and turn north on Fleur Drive. Take Fleur Drive north about 1/4 mile to the entrance to the Terminal Building.

From the East, take Interstate west Highway 65. Proceed south and west on 65 approximately 15 miles, then continue west on Highway 5 for another 3 miles to the Fleur Drive exit. Proceed north on Fleur Drive approximately 2 miles. The entrance to the airport is on the left.

From the West, follow I-80 eastbound to I-35 South (Kansas City). Go about 4 miles south on I-35 and exit on Hwy 5, Army Post Road (DSM International Airport). (Construction has rerouted Hwy 5 near the airport, follow the signs.) Take Hwy 5, Army Post Road 5 miles east and turn north on Fleur Drive. Take Fleur Drive north about 1/4 mile to the entrance to the Terminal Building.
