Location: Located on the site of the former Bergstrom Air
Force Base, in southeast Austin on Texas Hwy. 71 near the
intersection with U.S. Hwy. 183. Eight miles from downtown and
the State Capitol. Prime position near the NAFTA Highway
(Interstate Highway 35).
Parking and transportation: Parking at Austin-Bergstrom
International Airport is fast, convenient and close to the
airlines. 11,366 public parking places. SuperShuttle
shared-ride, door-to-door service. Capital Metro local bus
service. Taxicab, and limousine service. Closest to the terminal
are covered parking spaces in the garage. Short and long term
lots give travelers more parking options. All ABIA parking is
set in a beautiful, award winning landscape. The parking is well
lighted and monitored and patrolled 24 hours a day, seven days a
week, by Airport Police. Complimentary parking services ranging
from jump starts to vehicle location are available to customers
of on-airport parking. Disabled parking is available in all
parking lots.
Airport statistics: Over 7.6 million passengers per year,
270 commercial passenger flights per day, 34 are non-stop.
